Boardwalkers new play-The BIBLE

Last month some of us caught up with a new play in town- a spoof on "Bible" which we found hilariously funny. For those of you who missed it- more shows of the play are happening between 11-15 May 05 at Alliance Francaise..

Here is a breif synopsis

THE BIBLE
THE COMPLETE WORD OF GOD [ABRIDGED]

Written By: Adam Long, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor
THE PERFORMERS:FAHEEM MOOSA HARIHARAN ROHIT BHATT
DIRECTED BY:MICHAEL MUTHU

Taking off from where they left off – with “Hamlet” – The Boardwalkers are back with another hilarious comedy. “The Bible – The complete word of God [abridged]” – a comedy where the chuckling and the giggling and the guffaws don’t ever stop –

In the beginning a God like voice informs us that there was chaos. But why stop there? The disorder continues through the middle and the end of the Bible: The Complete word of God [Abridged], until the neat rows of audience have dissolved hysterically into the aisles –

In spoofing the Book it calls “the greatest story ever accepted as fact” – The Play combines shtick, word play, physical humor, sight gags, audience participation and jokes as old as Moses toes. The Audience can’t help but give in to the giggles and the guffaws, which are very hard to resist.

Performed first in Chennai by the Boardwalkers - at the Alliance Francaise Auditorium - for the Magic Lantern Theatre Festival – where the play was really received well by the audiences, and is Back By Popular Demand, for another run - All details have been enclosed below -
