Actors Speak......... part two

I would like to start this off by first saying "hail kuniyammey"

Kuniyammey a.k.a. Karuna Amarnath - Chapter two's Faye ..... dressed in pajamas, donning a sleepy look kindly agreed to say a few words to sensationalize the blog a bit......I have been threatened the loss of life or body parts if I dont quote Kuni to the very T!! So, here goes.....

(The following points are exactly what she said in the order that she uttered them....)

1. " Jennie sounds staid and boring.... I BRING ALL THE LIFE!!!!!"

2. " We went to the psychiatrist...... WE ALL NEEDED HELP!!!"

3. On being asked whether this experience has changed her life in any way - "I have attained Nirvana"

4. to Andrea " I HAVE ALL THE FUNNY LINES"

I have done what you asked me to, so kuni, even if you get a kick out of watching a corpse floating around in Sivagami Pethachi....... spare me!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hey, saw the play on Saturday, minus the sound glitched (a lot of sound glitches) I think the play was great, and everyone around me were having a ball the first half. Few nice saves from the actors, I loved the part Andrea poured water all over herself….the expression on her face at that second was priceless!!! Should’ve got my camera. DAMN!!!

The Neil Simon formula works and works well for you guys, and casting was ‘Spot On’ as usual, you guys don’t fail to impress in that department. I liked the feel of the play…it was soppy without getting too soppy…was very impressed with Karuna again….(Good job cutes!)…KK and TMK brilliant as usual, nice parts. TMK and Andrea, really nice acting carrying forward Neil Simon’s style in the second half.

Points that I wanted to make…

1. WHAT’S WITH THE COSTUMES????
Trying to go Bollywood??? …..That sparkly green shirt TMK was wearing and the purple shirt KK wears in the second half ……where the hell did you pull THAT out of??? And that knit Kunni was wearing second half I think…I didn’t fit in at all…AT ALL… AT ALL… well that’s my opinion anyway…someone must have really convinced you guys to go with that…it’s not you……and a minor point…a stain…in the wrong (or right) place….that really caught the light and looked really funny on one of the actor’s pant’s….ha ha …I could’nt stop laughing!

2. I’ve told you this a lot of times before…maybe because I’ve seen so much of your plays…I really do find myself getting bored…because the formula works a little too well. There is nothing interesting for me see…and take back with me…honestly, what I will remember from this play is Andrea and Kunni…TMK and KK did ‘their’ part…a part I’ve seen too many time…I would love to see the same play with KK and TMK exchanging characters…THAT would be interesting!

Anyway..I loved the package guys…and the “Stress Busters” marketing thingie seems to work very nicely for you. Always a fan…..
